Overcoming digital addiction requires non-negotiable rules and goal setting. A typical non-negotiable in my life means that I always wear my seatbelt, I never smoke, and I never add sugar to my tea. That's just me. We all have non-negotiables that we use to set our personal standards. Consider establishing clear, firm boundaries for your tech use—like no devices at the dinner table or turning off screens 30 minutes before bed. Set tangible, measurable goals for reducing screen time, and celebrate each small victory as you regain control. Create a vision of your ideal tech-life balance and set specific benchmarks to achieve it, such as reducing social media time or increasing offline activities. With each goal met, you’ll feel more confident in your ability to control your digital consumption and reassert your time. You will be reclaiming your mind and life one non-negotiable at a time.
